A newspaper in New York was looking for AcroYoga couples to do a write up on. A fellow Acro teacher, Lotsie Cash reached out to Nosa to connect him with the journalist. Read an excerpt of the article below:

Acrobatic yoga for two can strengthen your bond: Ask Lena Dunham, Adam Levine and a lot of noncelebsBY JEANETTE SETTEMBRE

Ready to take your relationship to a new level?

It takes a lot of trust to have someone hold you up by your arms while you attempt a handstand on your partner’s palms. And trust builds love.

Nosa Edebor, 30, admits his relationship was waning before his then-girlfriend suggested an Acro class at OM Factory in Midtown.

The duo started off a little shaky when the girlfriend assumed the flyer position and went into an upside-down, inverted pose that relied completely on Edebor for safety. When Edebor lost his footing, his petite partner fell flat on her face and was infuriated.

But they got past it — all the way to the altar.

“I have a big personality, and sometimes I wouldn’t give Susie the chance to articulate something she really wanted,” says Edebor. “When I stopped being so overpowering, we got closer as a couple. The trust has grown so much.”

AcroYoga is certainly not the only way to build trust — remember doing the “trust fall” during college orientation? — but it may be the first form of yoga that breaks the ice

Acrobatic yoga can firm up relationship

But if you know anything about Nosa and I, then you might notice some incorrect information in the article. Some might think this would be a bad thing, but we are firm believers that everything happens for a reason. The awesome producers at Good Morning America happened to see our article. Thinking we were New York AcroYogis they contacted us to be interviewed on the show. When I explained more of our story to the producer over the phone, she made it clear that they wanted us on the show, even if that meant flying us out last minute! They really wanted us to do an interview on a couch in the same pose featured in the photo above. Of course, we dropped everything to go to New York.

It was such a whirlwind of events! At 10 AM on Tuesday I had my first phone call with the producer, by noon our flights were booked and by 5 PM we were sitting on an airplane headed to New York! We landed around 10 PM, were picked up by a private car (which was super exciting since we had never experienced that).

We checked into our hotel around 10:45 PM and were met with some of our awesome New Yorker friends in the lobby. We headed out on the town even though we knew we had to be at the ABC studios at 5:30 AM! I mean who could pass this up?

We stayed out way too late, got a couple hours of sleep, and then made our way to the studio bright and early on Wednesday. We got to meet some new friends from the New York Acro community and learn just how crazy live television is. Things happen quickly and last minute changes are a big part of being live, so its a good thing we yogis know how to go with the flow. Watch the clips of the AcroYoga segment below.

After the show was done, we were exhausted and still reeling from the unexpected events. We were able to stay and enjoy the city for another night. We did some jamming and caught up with old friends.

The moral of our story, everything happens at the right time for a reason! This sequence of events was completely amazing and unexpected and sometimes we perceive something as an error,  but we are totally wrong! We are so grateful for all of the experiences AcroYoga has opened up in our lives!
